The Room (517)
I really enjoyed sitting here (probably contemplating world domination) drinking a nice coffee and just watching the world go by below me.
This was a really nice touch to the room. Not a bad pic by Serena actually.
Two separate quilts I hear you say. Yes, that’s right and it makes perfect sense. Serena’s always nicking the quilt in the middle of the night. This way you get your own private quilt and both parties remain nice and warm. Everyone’s a winner. In fact i’m sure we’ve come across this arrangement in China and other countries.
I’m writing this blog piece in retrospect from home as we returned yesterday. Serena and I had a discussion today about putting two separate quilts on our bed at home.
Love the shower / bathroom. It’s not very often you see a non-chrome shower unit. Very stylish. We’ve got the same tiles at home minus the black grouting so I was already sold. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner smelt lovely as well – all available to buy in the lobby.
The Hotel
How many hotels do you know of that have a wooden table tennis table with a leather net sitting outside the lifts? Correct – none. Another example of the bold and brave design here at the Downtown Camper.

The restaurant area…
The gorgeous smell of burning wood from this fire in the restaurant can be smelt throughout the hotel and in your room.

The staff looking busy in reception. Everyone we encountered spoke perfect English and was very helpful.
The Nest
This is the beautiful and relaxing spa that sits on the top floor of the hotel and yes, as you can see below there is a ‘nest’ which houses the sauna. Brilliantly original idea for the theme of a spa.

All in all, it’s a fantastic hotel. I suggest you book your stay immediately! 🙂
