Borneo is easily one of my favourite places to visit in the world.

We visited the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary in Sandakan, Borneo back in 2011 as part of a year-long round-the-world trip.

It’s a must-see if you want to see these amazing and fascinating animals up close. The monkeys are wild but get fed on a regular daily basis. It’s very similar to Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary in that respect. We sat and watched the Proboscis Monkeys for hours. They are such fascinating and hilarious creatures to watch.
