Sri Lanka

Back in 2011 as part of a year long round the world trip we kicked off our trip in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is often overlooked by travellers who favour going to India instead but I can highly recommend Sri Lanka as a country with so much to offer. There are some no-go areas for tourists in the north but as long as you stick to the safe places (like any other country in the world) you will have a brilliant time.

I found Sri Lankans to be very proud people who loved to know what we thought of their country.
