The Little A’Le’ Inn in Rachel, Nevada, is a quirky and unforgettable stop for anyone travelling through the state’s vast desert landscapes. Located along the legendary Extraterrestrial Highway, this small, family-run establishment has become a haven for UFO enthusiasts and travellers seeking a taste of Nevada’s more unusual roadside culture.
Its walls are adorned with alien memorabilia, photos, and postcards sent by visitors from around the world, creating an atmosphere that is both eccentric and welcoming.

The Inn is best known for its hearty, home-style meals, making it a popular spot for lunch or a quick break while exploring the surrounding desert. Patrons often linger to chat with the owners, swap stories of strange sightings, or simply soak up the offbeat charm of the tiny town of Rachel, which sits just a short drive from the infamous Area 51.

This is a short video shot from our rental SUV shows us leaving The Little A’Le’ Inn after having some lunch on our wedding day.
We then headed off into the desert to drive a few hours to Tonopah, where we would be spending the night in the haunted Mizpah Hotel. It was a perfect example of how the Inn combines good food with an experience you won’t find anywhere else, a quirky, memorable pit stop in the middle of Nevada’s desert.

Whether you’re a dedicated UFO hunter or simply passing through, The Little A’Le’ Inn offers a slice of Americana that is equal parts charming and unusual, making it one of those places you remember long after you’ve left the desert behind.
